5月7日(水)にVISA申請を終えたあと、以前このサイトでも紹介した追跡確認メールを送ったのが5月10日(土)のことだったのですが、その確認メールの返信が来たのが5月14日(水)でした。遅！！と思いつつ、メールを読むと以下のように書かれていました。

Dear Ms Nory Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigrations International Enquiry service. As I checked your application, I could not find any record for the number. This may be because the system has not been updated yet. We hope that this has answered your query. For any further details, or should you need to contact us again please refer to our website at http:// ukvi-international.faq-help.co/ Kind regards Atsuko Maeda UKVI

まだ記録が見つからないってどういうこと！？

更新が反映されてないって・・・！？

やはりVISA申請においても、これがいわゆるイギリス流か！？と思いつつも、とりあえず、VISA申請センターで申請を出してから1週間も経っているのに、何の情報もないことに少し不安を覚え、翌日の5月15日(木)に再度確認メールを送信したところ、今度は速攻で（ホント20分ぐらいで）返信があり、その内容が以下のものでした。

Dear Ms Nory Thank you for contacting the UK Visas and Immigrations International Enquiry service. As I checked your application status, it is still awaiting the assessment (09 May 2014). We hope that this has answered your query. 結局、15日の段階でも記録上何の更新もなされていないようで、というか、初めのメールへの返信には3営業日フルにかかってたくせに、2回目以降はものの数十分で返信とか、どういう基準なのかもわからず、正直なところ不安は増すばかり。で、この15日の夕方に再度、確認メールを送ると、今度は違う女性から以下のメールが来ました。しかも案の定、ものの十数分で返信が。。。

I have made a check on your application status and it is said A decision has not yet been made on your application. We have service standards for processing UK visa applications which state that we will process: 90 per cent of non-settlement applications within 3 weeks, 98 per cent within 6 weeks and 100 per cent within 12 weeks of the application date; and 95 per cent of settlement applications within 12 weeks of the application date and 100 per cent within 24 weeks of the application date. Each application is assessed individually and processing times may vary, hence applicants are requested to be patient and wait for the processing to be completed. はい、完全に鬱陶しがられました(-_-;)。しかもご丁寧に、申請の90％までは3週間以内に結果が出るが、場合によっては6週間とか12週間とかもあるよ！！と再度釘刺されました。

そんなんこのタイミングで言われるとめっちゃ不安になるやん・・・。一応、大阪のVISA申請センターでもまぁ3週間もあれば結果は出ますと言われたので優先サービスも申し込まなかったし。。。というか、不安になると色々と物事を悪いように考えがちですよね。ネットで探しても、なかなか家族4人で私費留学っていうケースも少なく、仮に見つけられたとしても大分昔の記事であったり・・・。冷静に考えてHighly Trusted Sponsorの大学院への進学であるので、大丈夫だろうという気持ちはあるものの、実際にVISAが出るまではホントヤキモキさせられます。

ある意味、この大学院留学準備において、このVISA申請が一番ストレスかも・・・。

因みに6週間とかになってしまうと、VISAの結果が出るのがプリセッショナルコース開始日の前日という全然笑えない状態になります。さてさてどうなりますことやら・・・。

ま、しばらくほとぼりが冷めるまではUKVIへ確認メールが送れないことだけは確実です。
